Our Favorite 2019 Ford Ranger Parts from the SEMA Show
The new Ford Ranger is going to be a serious contender when it hits the streets in early 2019, there is no doubt about that. It is available in three trim levels – XL, XLT, and Lariat. All of these have only 1 engine and transmission configuration, Ford’s 2.3L Ecoboost engine with a 10-speed automatic transmission. With a max towing capacity of 7,500 lbs., these trucks are going to come from the factory ready to rock.
We all know the best trucks aren’t bone-stock and factory built though. There are still a lot of questions concerning what the aftermarket has in store for the latest offering from Ford, but we can assume the same names that deck out F-150s and F-250s will be eager to jump in the fray. Back at SEMA in November we got a taste of some of the products we can start looking forward to putting on the new Ranger. Here are just a few of the parts we are excited about putting on our Rangers.
Yakima Roof Rack
How else are you supposed to get those kayaks/snowboards/tent/everything else you could think of around? There was a Ranger in the Ford booth sporting a Yakima rack with a tent, but even more impressive to us was the one in the Yakima booth. It showcased their systems capability to still function with a Retrax bed cover, meaning you don’t have to compromise on having lockable bed storage to use one of their racks. Look for this pair to be a favorite item in the Ranger space.
Warn Ascent Bumper
This thing is the real deal. Made with 11-gauge plate steel, it isn’t messing around. It can mount a variety of Warn’s own winches, including their flagship Zeon series featured on this build by BDS Suspension. Not only that, but it looks sharp too. We love the way that it hugs the contours of the body, keeping it high and tight to allow for those BFG KM3 tires.
N-Fab EpYx Side Steps
A lot of the Rangers on display had side steps, but we were most impressed with these ones from N-Fab. Part of it may be the sick custom paint on them but think the standard black powder coat option will be a great option for any customer. They are the perfect complement to any truck and make getting into a truck with even 3 inches of lift such as this much easier.
Look for these and more accessories to be live on the site as soon as they are released to the public. We can’t wait to be your go-to source for 2019 Ranger accessories!
